About Us

Empro-Niagara, Inc., formerly, Lockport Metal Fabricating, began business in 1966 at its current location in Lockport, NY. Employment began to grow as machinery was added. At a given time, Empro-Niagara, Inc. has employed as many as 12 people, including part time help. Currently there are 5 full time and 2 part time employees.

In 1987, Lockport Metal Fabricating became Empro-Niagara, Inc. under the ownership of Rick Hand. Rick had worked for LMF for 10 years and had once stated that he would own the business one day. Well, his words became reality. Over the next 20 + years, he would add updated machinery and gained a reputation of one of the best in his field. As he built a business, he became a mentor to many, was family man, and friend to countless people until his unexpected death in September of 2009.

Empro-Niagara is continuing to grow because of the values and work ethics that Rick instilled in his family and employees. We are proud to say that Empro-Niagara, Inc. will be continuing to serve the WNY and surrounding areas.

Empro-Niagara cannot at this time put a claim on any one specific industry or product that has made us flourish. There is a wide range of services and jobs that we can provide to our customers. With the contacts and knowledge gained over the years, there are few specialty manufacturing jobs that we are unable to handle!
